The Fed announced that the recovery is still going slowly and it will continue on its current course to try to spur activity. That was well received by Wall Street, as was word that retail sales for November were better than expected. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 48 points, or 0.4%, to 11,477. Broadcasting stocks also gained.
The RBR Radio Index was up 3.224, or 1.1%, to 303.202.
The TVBR Television Index was up 1.336, or 0.6%, to 213.758.
