A merger with Gray Television is coming, but that hasn’t stopped Raycom Media from doing business as usual, and signing new contracts with important vendors.

Nielsen and Raycom today announced a renewal agreement for Nielsen local television ratings service within most of Raycom’s LPM, SET and Code Reader markets, beginning Jan. 1, 2019.

The stations included are WBTV-TV in Charlotte, WBRC-TV in Birmingham, WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, WMC-TV in Memphis, WVUE-TV in New Orleans, WWBT-12 and WUPV-TV in Richmond, WFLX-29 in West Palm Beach (operated by The E.W. Scripps Co. through a shared services agreement), WCSC-TV in Charleston, S.C.; KFVS-TV and WQWQ-TV in Paducah, Ky.; KOLD-TV in Tucson, and WWSB-TV in Sarasota-Bradenton.

The agreement provides Raycom with complete measurement of these local broadcast stations, as well as syndicated local TV measurement.

It also includes viewing and consumer behavior and insight tools including Arianna, NLTV, Ad Intel and Scarborough-Local.
