Radio: Still The Most Popular Audio Platform


Proprietary research fielded online in January 2024 by a New York-headquartered media agency specializing in data-guided media strategy and buying, performance-driven tactical planning and custom reporting and analytics finds that — among its 2,000 respondents — Radio is still the most popular audio platform.

But, like Edison Research has found in its own studies, the continued popularity of AM/FM comes as consumer usage of streaming audio services remains heavy. As such, the message now is how “audio” — delivered via linear and online platforms — remains vitally important to Americans.
