Entercom’s digital audio app, a hub for broadcast station streams and featured podcasts, will now take a more front and center role among travelers who opt for a virtual travel assistant when renting vehicles from Avis or Budget.
The Radio.com app will now be integrated into connected vehicles equipped with the Avis Budget Group Travel Assistant, developed by IoT tech firm Edison Interactive (EI).
It’s actually an option tablet device that gives users unlimited talk and text through Verizon, and media and gaming apps.
“Partnering with Edison allows us to expand the reach of our premium audio content on a local and national scale while expanding how we define the connected vehicle listening experience,” said Entercom VP/Corporate Business Development David Rosenbloom.
Edison Interactive CEO Jeremy Ostermiller added, “We are heavily invested to develop solutions that amplify the customer experience. The partnership with Entercom heightens the customer experience while providing transportation brands access to premium audio content on customized devices.”
