LAS VEGAS — It is being heralded as a “revolutionary” 24/7 over-the-air gaming channel that could influence video game discovery and accessibility. How so? “Its innovative application of NEXTGEN TV technical capabilities” are one of the reasons being offered by GameLoop TV.

The offering is launching next week during the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025), and Sinclair Inc. NBC affiliate KSNV-3 in Las Vegas is placing GameLoop TV on Channel 3.2.

“GameLoop TV will bring the engaging world of gaming directly to viewers’ living rooms with no additional hardware or subscriptions required,” the channel’s leadership, led by Chairman and Co-Founder Zane Vella, said.

Demonstrations of GameLoop will be available at the CES exhibit of ATSC, the Broadcast Standards Association, in Central Hall 20340 during CES from January 7-10.

At the heart of GameLoop’s innovation is the channel’s “Play Now” feature, which allows viewers to instantly play games showcased on the channel by using their TV remote or mobile phone. “The channel’s friendly and entertaining hosts demonstrate how to play each game and invite the audience to jump right in by choosing ‘Play Now’ at any time,” GameLoop says. “This seamless fusion of watching and playing fulfills the promise of interactive television while ushering in a new era of entertainment perfectly suited to today’s engaged viewers.”

KTNV isn’t the only station that will air GameLoop.

Distribution deals with other Sinclair Broadcast Group stations have been signed, while certain Gray Media stations are also in the mix.

“We are excited to be bringing this groundbreaking ‘Play Now’ innovation to TVs nationwide,” said Vella.

GameLoop TV’s lineup includes games from partner Play.Works, known for bringing Pac-Man and Tetris to TV audiences. The channel will also introduce new games such as “Planet Crossword,” a collaborative crossword experience designed for television.

Pearl TV Managing Director Anne Schelle says GameLoop TV “demonstrates the unmatched power of the NEXTGEN TV platform to seamlessly integrate streaming video and interactive gameplay in ways that were previously unimaginable on traditional broadcast television. This is a game-changer for broadcasters and viewers alike.”
