It was moved up by several days to get ahead of the Election Day news cycle, and then delayed by an hour due to a technical glitch with provider AT&T. As the 10am Eastern hour began Monday, so did the third quarter earnings call for The E.W. Scripps Co. This gave analyst Craig Huber an opportunity to ask management about its decision to reinvent Scripps News, and “what percentage of the costs are coming out from just the news part, in particular?”
That was just one of several questions Huber had for the Scripps leadership team, as Lisa Knutson completed her final earnings call as Chief Operating Officer.
