Norville to Emcee Golden Mic Gala, Fundraiser

Deborah Norville, a longtime Broadcasters Foundation of America Board Member and anchor of the syndicated entertainment news magazine Inside Edition, has been chosen to host the 2025 BFOA Golden Mic gala and fundraiser.


This year’s event is scheduled for Monday, March 10, at the Plaza Hotel in the City of New York, which has completed extensive renovations.

Bonnie Bernstein, the veteran CBS Sports and ESPN journalist and founder and CEO of Walk Swiftly Productions and Velvet Hammer Media Consulting, will present the Golden Mic Award to Scripps Sports President Brian Lawlor.

In addition, BFOA Chair and former CBS Radio COO Scott Herman, will honor former CBS Radio CEO and past BFOA Chair Dan Mason with the 2025 Edward F. McLaughlin Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ray Cole, former President and COO of TV station owner Citadel Communications, will recognize Katz Media Group with the 2025 Philip J. Lombardo Spirit Award.

“We’re excited about this year’s honorees and presenters and extend our thanks to Deborah for serving as the evening’s emcee,” stated Tim McCarthy, President of the Broadcasters Foundation. “While we gather to honor these highly respected and accomplished broadcasters for their contributions to our industry, we must always keep in mind, and in our hearts, the broadcasters who we help when they need us the most.”
