Longtime television personality Deborah Norville, host of the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine Inside Edition, has been chosen to host the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s 2018 Golden Mike Award.

This black-tie fundraiser scheduled for March 5 in New York, one of the Broadcasters Foundation’s biggest events, honors the President/CEO of Graham Media.

To be feted at the event at the Plaza Hotel in New York is Emily Barr, who leads the seven-station broadcast television division of Graham Media Holdings. She will be recognized by prominent leaders in media, including three colleagues who will join the program as presenters: Peggy Allen, former TV production and programming executive and current Vermont sheep farmer; Don Graham, Chairman of Graham Holdings Co; and Hank Price, President/GM of WVTM-13 in Birmingham, Ala.

Also be honored at the event is the late Ed McLaughlin. He was awarded the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award just weeks before his passing; wife Pat McLaughlin will accept the award. Ed McLaughlin is credited with spearheading the rise of Rush Limbaugh as a conservative talk show host and is the founder of EFM Media Management. He was Chairman Emeritus of the Broadcasters Foundation when he died in January 2018.
