The six radio brands serving St. Louis owned by the nation’s largest owner of broadcast radio stations have a new leader, and it is a longtime community figure who began her career as a morning show producer at KSD Radio in St. Louis.
Now serving as Market President of iHeartMedia in St. Louis is Libby Nolan. She rises from Sr. VP of Sales.
This puts her in control of the operations, programming and sales of Classic Hits KLOU-FM, Hip-Hop KATZ-FM “100.3 The Beat,” Country KSD-FM, Talk KTLK-FM “104.9 The Patriot,” Top 40 KSLZ-FM and Gospel KATZ-AM.
“A highly respected veteran with 30 years in the radio industry, Nolan’s expertise spans programming, sales, marketing and executive leadership, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the evolving radio landscape,” iHeartMedia said in a Tuesday announcement.
Nolan reports to John Karpinski, Division President for iHeartMedia. He commented, “Libby’s exceptional leadership, extensive industry knowledge and passion for innovation have driven tremendous local growth across both our radio and digital offerings. With experience spanning nearly every role in a radio station, she is uniquely positioned to lead from a place of deep understanding and drive continued success.”
Nolan has been in her current role since 2021 and has a resume that includes roles as an Account Executive for CBS Radio’s former St. Louis radio stations. She’s also been Sales Manager for KTLK under Emmis Communications ownership, and was a General Manager in Springfield, Mo., for Zimmer Radio Group. Nolan has also been a Market President once before — at Townsquare Media’s Hannibal, Mo.-Quincy, Ill. station group.
Outside of Radio, Nolan is known for serving on the board of the Missouri and Kansas Chapter of Make-A-Wish, the development board of the Saint Louis Zoo, and the Cardinals Glennon Children’s Foundation. Currently, Nolan is on the Board of Directors of Duo Dogs, an organization dedicated to training and connecting dogs with people to foster positive change in individuals, families, and communities.
Nolan said, “I’m honored to lead iHeartMedia St. Louis and work with such a passionate and talented team. Being entrusted with the opportunity to lead these iconic stations to its full potential is a gift. People are the heart of everything we do, and together, we will build on this legacy and continue shaping the future of radio in St. Louis.”
