Longtime radio industry programming consultant Mike McVay, Beasley Media Group Regional Vice President Mary Menna, and Urban One SVP/Programming for its radio stations and Reach Media arm Colby Tyner have been added as presenters at a newly introduced Radio + Podcast Interactive Forum tied to this year’s NAB Show New York.

The event, held at the Javits Center from October 9, promises attendees opportunities to learn how to leverage technology for content, programming and marketing success. Given the heightened discussions regarding AI in the radio industry, attendees stand to learn exclusive insights and winning strategies from radio, podcast, technology and media innovators at media companies including RadioLab, Audacy, CrookedMedia/Pod Save America, Alpha Media, and Men in Blazers.

Sessions begin at 10am, with a 40-minute session moderated by McVay. Speakers include WDAS Radio in Philadelphia host Patty Jackson and Alpha Media of Tyler-Longview, Tex., Director of Sales/Sports Harlen Lobley.

That’s followed by a session that brings marketing and technology experts across radio and podcasting to discuss successful promotions and monetization strategies and how technology has supported those efforts. Attendees will also get to participate in roundtables with panelists Alex Roman, Chief Technology Officer at MediaCo (owner of WQHT “Hot 97” and WBLS in New York); and Wavland CEO/Chief Content Officer Jason Hoch and peers to discuss what has worked for others.

At 12:30pm, Menna will appear alongside Audacy CFO Sarah Foss and Men in Blazers Executive Producer and Head of Production Jonathan Williamson to discuss innovative approaches to sports and news content that leverages technology, including AI,  to produce unique and engaging content.

The day is rounded out with a 1:25pm session focused on how radio programmers and podcast producers can use the latest technologies (including AI) and innovative strategies to create “amazing shows that captivate audiences and generate revenue”; and a final session at 2:20pm including Tyner, Coleman Insights EVP Sam Milkman, Edison Research Director of Research Laura Ivey, and Rhyme Media CEO Dan Bobkoff.

The final session for the day-long event, “Leveraging Data Insights to Improve Programming, Promotions and Bottom Lines,” is moderated by radio industry consultant Andy Meadows.
