New host, name for Weekly Country Music Countdown


Westwood One announced CMA and ACM-award winning air personality Cliff Dumas as the new host of The Weekly Country Music Countdown. He’ll take over for current host, Beasley’s WXTU-FM Philadelphia’s Andie Summers, the weekend of July 23-24 when the program will also change its name from The Weekly Country Music Countdown to Weekly Country Countdown.

Weekly Country Countdown is a three-hour countdown of the Top 30 hits, according to Country Aircheck/Mediabase. One of the day’s hottest country music stars is featured throughout the program, while several established and newer rising stars are spotlighted.
