Nova Scotia-based Nautel is gearing up for IBC2022 in Amsterdam, where it will take Stand 8.C71, by rolling out a new “VX Series” of FM transmitters.

They’re being offered in 11 power outputs, including a new variety suitable perhaps for a Class A FM.

Introducing the 6kw model VX, adding to a mix that includes a 150-watt transmitter.

According to Nautel, the analog VX series’ new product build on its VS series, with advanced control, instrumentation and other features integrated into upgraded DSP, power supply and FET technology.

Advances in Nautel transmitter engineering include an updated RF power chain utilizing a new high voltage FET. Additionally, the power chain has been mated with a dual core DSP.

Nautel also adopted Titanium-grade industrial power supplies, which are hot-swappable with front panel access.

Control of the VX Series is accomplished via Nautel’s new HTML5 Advanced User Interface
(AUI), which itself has been the result of a complete re-design over the past few years.

The VX150 and VX300 will be type-certified for LPFM.

Nautel is accepting pre-orders for the VX Series now; first deliveries for the 150 W to 2 kW
systems anticipated in Q4 2022, and 3 kW to 6 kW shipments in Q1 2023.
