Earlier this month, the FCC’s Media Bureau issued a second information request for applications to transfer control of TEGNA to Standard General, the investment entity led by Soohyung Kim that is also the parent of Standard Media Group.
Statements for and against the deal have been fast and furious. None other than Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has chimed in on the matter. The proposed buyer responded with a statement that “sets the record straight” on the subject.
Now, the President and CEO of the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has voiced his support for the swift approval of TEGNA’s privatization effort.
