The National Association of Broadcasters is opening the door for broadcast engineers and technology professionals to share their expertise on the biggest stage in the industry, with a new call for proposals that could shape the conversation at next year’s marquee event in Las Vegas.
The NAB is now accepting proposals for technical papers and panels to be presented at the NAB Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference, scheduled for April 18-22, 2026, as part of the NAB Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Selected papers will be published in the year’s official proceedings, providing authors with national recognition among broadcast engineering and technology professionals.
Focus areas for submissions encompass a wide range of technical topics, including broadcast radio and television, facility design, digital operations, signal positioning, audio and video technology, technical regulatory issues, cybersecurity, generative AI, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations in broadcasting.
The NAB is clear about what it’s looking for: proposals must explain the underlying technology behind products or services. Promotional submissions will not be accepted.
In a notable effort to encourage the next generation of broadcast engineers, NAB Show is partnering with the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society to invite graduate and undergraduate students aged 18 and up to submit papers for consideration. The best student paper will be presented during the conference and published in the proceedings, with travel assistance provided to help offset costs for the winning student.
The deadline for submissions is November 14, with notifications for accepted presenters scheduled to be sent by January 12, 2026.
The BEIT Conference brings together broadcast engineers, technicians, technology managers, developers, manufacturers, consultants, and researchers for four days of technical education and networking.
The 2026 BEIT Conference Committee is chaired by Sun Sachs, Townsquare Media’s SVP of Product, Design, and Engineering. Committee members include representatives from major broadcasters and technology companies, including Sinclair Broadcast Group, Bustos Media, Urban One, AWS, Google Cloud, NASA+, NVIDIA, and other leading organizations in the broadcast technology space.
More information and submission portals for both the BEIT Conference and broader NAB Show programming are available on the NAB Show website.
