NAB Releases New Spots Pushing AM Radio Legislation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The NAB has released new radio spots designed to drive constituents of Capitol Hill politicians into action, and get them to petition their House and Senate representatives to get floor votes in each body of Congress for the AM Radio for Every Vehicle act.

Three broadcast-ready spots for June can be found on the SoundCloud window. They are designed to  convey a sense of urgency to Congress that the time to pass the legislation, which enjoys widespread bipartisan support, is now.

“It’s crucial that we get as many listeners as possible to contact Congress before the start of the August congressional recess, and we would ask that you air these spots for the foreseeable future,” the NAB asks.

The new spots ask listeners to contact Congress by texting AM to 52886, urging them to bring the AM For Every Vehicle Act to the House and Senate floor for a vote now.

“Thus far, your participation has led to listeners sending more than 489,000 emails and 67,000 tweets to Congress,” the NAB says.
