WASHINGTON, D.C. — The President/CEO of MVPD services provider Schurz Communications has been elected as Vice Chairman of advocacy group ACA Connects and will fulfill the term of Cable One Chief Growth Officer Mike Bowker, who is completing his vice chairmanship early and plans to retire this year.
“I’m looking forward to serving alongside Patty and the ACA Connects board as Vice Chairman,” said John Reardon. “Schurz Communications has benefitted greatly as a member of ACA Connects. I want to help ensure our association continues to grow by increasing our footprint, and advocating for the local and independent providers that are the backbone of a more connected nation.”
Patty Jo Boyers, President/CEO and co-founder of BOYCOM Vision and Chair of ACA Connects, commented, “I have no doubt that John is going to hit the ground running as our new Vice Chairman. In related news, Cable One VP of Operations John Walburn has been appointed to the ACA Connects Board.
The announcements came during the ACA Connects Annual Summit in Washington, D.C., which is concurrent to the National Association of Broadcasters’ State Leadership Conference.
