As June 2023 came to a close, a non-secular licensee based in Fitchburg, Mass., signed off on the purchase of a construction permit for a forthcoming FM licensed for broadcast at 97.3 MHz. The seller is an individual who also resides in the Bay State.
The CP, which bears Facility ID #762508 and is licensed to Orange, Mass., is being sold by Steven Wendell to Horizon Christian Fellowship for $138,000.
A 10% earnest money deposit has been made to Wendell, with the balance due at closing.
The buyer is led by George Small.
With the transaction, a third Christian-themed FM will serve the Orange-Athol area, due northeast of Amherst and directly south of Keene, N.H. WKMY is the “KLOVE” Member station serving the region, while Northeast Gospel Network, which this week agreed to sell a property to KLOVE parent Educational Media Foundation, owns WNGB-FM 91.3.
