For 22 years, he was associated with television stations today owned by Gray Television, and was a Senior VP of Local Media at the company from November 2018 to March 2022. Since then, he’s been an independent consultant.

Now, Chris Mossman has returned to a Kentucky market where he worked earlier in his career, taking the role of General Manager for a Morris Multimedia-owned ABC affiliate.

Mossman is a former VP/GM of crosstown WKYT-TV in Lexington, Ky., and he’s now leading competitor WTVQ-36.

He succeeds the now-retired Chris Aldridge, who had spent fifteen years at the helm of WTVQ.

“I love Lexington and I’m fired up to be coming back,” Mossman said. “We’ve got some great people on the team and we’re going to have some fun.”

Charles Morris, President/CEO of Savannah-based Morris Multimedia, commented that the privately held company is “very excited to have Chris Mossman lead our team at WTVQ, especially given his familiarity with the Lexington market area and the local communities, and his extensive body of quality work in network television.”

Bobby Berry, Chief Operating Officer of Morris’ broadcast division, added,  “When you have an opportunity to bring back a proven winner to a town, he and his family loved, you do it. Chris’s desire to return to Lexington and lead WTVQ is a slam dunk. We are excited for the direction WTVQ is going.”
