The region is cheering the approval of a glittering new home for Major League Baseball’s American League wins leader. NFL fans are gearing up for another tight NFC South crown quest. Hockey fans have another top playoff contender to root for.
Now, they’ll also be able to embrace the National Basketball Association team up I-4 a little bit “MOR,” if you will.
The Orlando Magic‘s regular-season telecasts will air across the 2026-2027 season in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota-Lakeland-Sebring DMA on WMOR-TV, the Hearst Television non-affiliated broadcast TV station with cable TV coverage nearly everywhere across the expansive DMA.
It’s an important move for the Magic, giving it access to a wider swatch of Central Florida as it seeks to gain more fans amidst a rebuilding effort and expectations of a play-in slot once the playoffs arrive.
The new accord expands a prior agreement that placed 10 Magic games on WMOR, which has a PSIP of Channel 32.
“We are excited to partner with WMOR-TV and Hearst to bring Magic basketball to our Tampa fans,” said Magic President of Business Operations Charlie Freeman. “WMOR-TV will provide Magic fans a direct connection to the team all season long.”
WMOR President/GM John Soapes added, “We’re thrilled to grow our relationship with the Magic and to expand accessibility to Magic basketball across Central Florida. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering high-quality local sports programming and creating new opportunities for fans to connect with their team.”
Dante Marchitelli will serve as the full-time play-by-play voice of the Magic and will again be joined by former Magic forward Jeff Turner as analyst.
Kendra Douglas enters her fourth season as the Magic team reporter.
A complete station lineup and broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date. The Magic will also announce a direct-to-consumer streaming partner in the near future.
