A Soft Start to September for Spot Radio

What was the Spot Radio activity like for the AM and FM stations tracked by iHeartMedia-owned service Media Monitors going in to the Labor Day holiday weekend?


Activity was quiet, with respect to much movement from the previous week, although there were two new entrants to the latest report for the week ending Sept. 4, 2022.

Now at No. 10 thanks to 35,367 spot plays is AutoZone, long an active user of audio advertising.

And, at No. 7 with nearly 41,000 spot plays, is Mattress Firm.

This activity, however, is much lighter than the promotional spots taking up space from iHeartRadio, which is aggressively promoting its iHeartRadio Music Festival across its radio stations.

Subtracting that activity, Progressive is the leader at Spot Radio, followed by The Home Depot.
