From big brick and mortar retailers to auto insurance specialists and a big Procter & Gamble Co. brand, there’s lots of strong activity at spot television for the week ending August 22.
The variety in advertiser categories is a welcome sign, even as Auto was absent ahead of the next end-of-month sales push.
As shown in the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten TV report, Walmart is now the big No. 1 by spot count as Liberty Mutual Insurance climbs over GEICO for supremacy in the always-active auto insurance category.
P&G’s Tide saw nearly 23,450 spot plays for the week, as two health and beauty aid brands are now in the Spot Ten.

How does this week Spot Ten Cable report compare?
Liberty Mutual is the big leader, making them the top advertiser for the week using both spot cable and spot television.
GEICO was No. 2.
