In July 2021, the VP/GM of the Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned FOX affiliate serving Omaha and The CW Network affiliate it runs via a local marketing agreement with Mitts Telecasting Co. joined Nexstar Media Group to run a dual NBC/CBS affiliate serving the Rio Grande Valley.

Now, he’s been handed the VP/General Manager role for the company’s Albuquerque stations.

Jeff Miller has taken the position, the company announced on Monday via the X social media platform.

This puts him in charge of KRQE-13, the dual CBS/FOX affiliate serving nearly all of New Mexico and parts of Southern Colorado; and The CW O&O KWBQ-TV. Miller will also oversee the company’s shared services agreement with Mission Broadcasting-owned KASY-50, an unaffiliated station.

Before joining Nexstar nearly four years ago, Miller spent more than a decade at KPTM-TV in Omaha and of Mitts-owned partner KXVO-TV in Omaha, departing as VP/GM. He has also been VP/GM of KMEG-TV and KPTH-TV in Sioux City, Iowa.

Miller reports to SVP/Regional Manager Matthew Rosenfeld, who commented on LinkedIn, “Jeff is an experienced and highly respected broadcast executive with nearly 35 years of proven success. Throughout his career, he has consistently delivered strong results— through exceeding budgets, driving digital and linear audience growth, earning journalism accolades, and developing high-performing, cohesive teams … Jeff has a proven track record of expanding local programming and innovating content strategies. I’m confident he’s the right person to lead our fantastic team in New Mexico into the next chapter of growth and excellence.”
