It’s a systems integrator and representative for Sierra Automated Systems (SAS) and other manufacturers. Now, it is bringing an individual who has served as a contractor since August 2022 in-house.

Now in the full-time role of Field Services Engineer at DNAV is “Mike D” — legally known as Mike Adachi.

He’s made his mark as a music producer and production engineer who has worked with the likes of Post Malone, Drake, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift. Adachi is also a syndicated mix show host with 20 years of experience on both sides of the microphone, notes Daniel Hyatt, Principal of DNAV North America.

At DNAV, Adachi will serve as a specialist supporting DNAV’s representation of the Orban audio processing line, harnessing his broadcast experience as the commercial and imaging director for Cox Radio’s former Honolulu radio stations (today owned by SummitMedia) from 2004-2012.

“Mike’s extensive experience in broadcast engineering lends itself to his duties of developing DNAV’s standards-based IP transport solutions, including SMPTE 2110-30 for PCM audio over IP and SMPTE 2022-7 for network path redundancy,” DNAV says, adding that he will also support DNAV’s representation of Audinate’s Dante audio and video products.

Once he’s settled in at DNAV, Adachi will cover regional field service work from the Midwest to the East Coast, and assist with software programming for products from Sierra Automated Systems and other networked radio systems.

Adachi will work alongside Brad Roybal and Ben Ackerman as Field Services Engineers covering other territories. “I feel privileged to be in the company of extremely knowledgeable people who I can not only learn from but use my knowledge to the best of my abilities in the field,” Adachi said. “I’m learning from the team at DNAV and they are learning from me. I love that you don’t have dozens of people all with the same skills at DNAV. It makes for a more educational, exciting, and productive working environment.”
