He has been with TEGNA’s stations in Portland and Bangor, Maine for eleven years and since 2016 has served as its Director of Sales. Starting June 10, he’ll take on the bigger role of President/GM.
Taking the promotion at the stations, comprised of NBC affiliate WCSH-6 in Portland and semi-satellite WLBZ-2 in Bangor, is Micah Malloy.
Together, the stations operate as “News Center Maine.”
Malloy will be responsible for overseeing the stations’ operations across all platforms, as well as community outreach efforts and driving results for advertisers.
Malloy succeeds Brian Cliffe, who is retiring after 42 years in the broadcasting business, the last 34 in Maine.

My family has watched News Center Maine for generations, so it’s an honor to guide the team to be the best for our viewers and clients.”
Malloy has also served as the stations’ Local Sales Manager.

Malloy is a graduate of the TEGNA Executive Leadership Program and has attended both Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. and the University of Maine, Orono.
