He has been with Beasley Media Group for 13 years and was most recently VP of Engineering. Now, he’s earned a promotion.
Taking the role of Director of Corporate Engineering for the owner of broadcast radio stations in markets such as Detroit, Tampa, Philadelphia and Boston is Lamar Smith.
He will officially begin his new position on September 1 and will continue to be based in Charlotte.
In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities across Beasley’s 57 radio properties throughout the United States.
“Lamar’s commitment, dedication and experience are exactly what we need as the organization continues to evolve and innovate into the future,” said Beasley Media Group Chief Executive Officer Caroline Beasley.
Smith thanked her and the Beasley family for the opportunity. “I look forward to being able to lead the engineering division as the company continues to evolve for years to come,” Smith said.
