Lawrence S. Zimmerman recently made a huge investment in the low power television universe, acquiring stations in multiple large markets from a consortium formed to sell them. And before the dust has cleared, he’s back – but this deal is much smaller.
The first deal was for 52 stations and carried an enormous price tag: $46.5M.
The current deal will add only two stations and $300K to that total.
The stations are:
WRNT-LP Hartford CT. a Channel 48 facility
WTXX-LP Springfield MA, a Channel 34 facility
The seller is Salvatore Minniti’s R and S Broadcasting LLC, and the terms involve a $15K escrow deposit and the price paid in full at closing.
