From 1995 through 2007, he was a well-known member of the Arbitron family, rising to SVP of Client Software in 2005 after a four-year stint as Arbitron Radio SVP/GM. It was his second tenure at the former radio station audience measurement giant now within the Nielsen family, as he’d served as a client service rep and account manager from 1986 to 1990.

Now, Scott Musgrave — most recently with Coleman Insights — has accepted a role at RadioAnalyzer, a Denmark-based predictive automated research specialist seeking to expand its services to North America from Europe.

Musgrave will serve as a U.S. and Canada representative for RadioAnalyzer, offering real-time audience analytics platform for radio stations on behalf of the company co-founded by CEO Mikkel Ottesen Lønstrup.

“Scott’s unique blend of experience, relationships, and understanding of radio audiences both on air and ‘behind the scenes’ make him our ideal partner as we continue to expand across North America,” the CEO said. “We’ve spent the last years growing audience share and engagement for successful stations around the world, and are excited to bring our suite of tools to even more broadcasters looking to grow, by optimizing content and music playlists using real-time behavioral data. We are sure Scott’s expertise paired with our unique methodology will greatly benefit the radio industry in North America.”

Musgrave’s career in radio began at Ithaca College, and its Rock WVBR-FM, where he served as Program Director from 1980-1983. He’s also work as a Capital Radio 95.8 in London producer, returning to Ithaca to work at WQNY-FM in 1984 as a Music Director. From 1990-1995, he was associated with former Philadelphia radio stations WYXR “Star 104.5″ and WJJZ-FM 106.1, then Hot Adult Contemporary and Smooth Jazz properties, working in the sales department. He rejoined Arbitron in 1995 after exiting as GSM for the two FMs.

Following his exit from Arbitron, Musgrave’s resume would include roles as VP/GM of WLIE-AM in Nassau-Suffolk, and as Senior VP of Client Relationships for Triton Digital, from August 2014 through February 2016. From November 2017 through August 2022, he served as Head of U.S. Radio at MRC Data (now Luminate). He joined Coleman as SVP/Chief Revenue Officer in September 2022.

At RadioAnalyzer, Musgrave will build on efforts began by Jarrod Graetz, CEO of the Äudience Company. Graetz represents RadioAnalyzer in the Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) and Worship Music arena and in non-profit sectors across North America.

“RadioAnalyzer have been successful with the biggest European broadcasters for more than a decade, helping them grow and thrive, so this feels like the perfect time for U.S. and Canadian radio to take advantage of their tools and methods,” Musgrave said. “I honestly can’t wait to showcase them to the broadcasters here.”

RadioAnalyzer was founded in 2013 and works with radio stations across Europe.
