Liquid Cooled Transmitters Get An Anywave NAB Show Spotlight

Just in time for the 2026 NAB Show, which officially opens Sunday at the Las Vegas Convention Center, comes a new line of TV transmitters Anywave Broadcast Inc. has specifically created for LPTV station owners.

One is a liquid cooled transmitter, the The Magma LP.

But, unlike other liquid cooled products that require an outdoor heat exchanger and complex plumbing for the station, the Magma LP has inside the cabinet a heat exchanger, pump(s), and plumbing, Anywave says.

“From that standpoint, it is much like an air cooled transmitter to the user, but with much better cooling, lower device temperatures, and much quieter operation than a typical air cooled unit,” Anywave adds.

In addition to those features, the Magma LP comes with amplifier modules that are hot swappable from the front of the unit, and only one power amplifier pallet per each module.

“If there is a failure of a pallet, it is a simple task to replace its module,” Anywave notes.

Redundant power supplies are also “hot swappable” from the front.

Anywave GM David Neff commented, “We heard from many users that there was a strong desire for amplifiers that are more easily serviced in the field. While Anywave has a very good service group that turns repairs around very quickly, customers want to be able to service their equipment themselves, if at all possible. The Magma LP addresses that desire. In addition, the superior cooling provided by the liquid cooled architecture allows for very cool and quiet operation, enhancing the reliability of the system.”

Anywave will be showing the Magma LP and other innovative products at booth C2262 (Central Hall) at NAB 2026.
