"Level Up" tops all Cartoon Network live-action debuts

The series premiere of Level Up (Tuesday, 1/24 8-8:30 p.m.)–its newest live-action comedy–beat all previous network records as the #1 live-action series premiere, charting double and triple-digit delivery gains across all targeted kids and boys demos vs. the same time period last year, according to Nielsen Media Research data.


The new series, featuring computer-generated effects and characters, also scored as the #1 show in its time period on all television—broadcast and cable—among kids 2-11, boys 2-11, boys 6-11 and boys 9-14. It also ranked as the #1 of the day among boys 9-14 on all television. More than two million total viewers tuned into the half-hour series premiere.

Highlights of Level Up’s series premiere performance, compared to the same 2011 time period:
•         Kids 6-11 delivery (879,000) increased by 58%, and ratings (3.6) by 64%
•         Kids 2-11 delivery (1,195,000) increased by 23%, and ratings (2.9) by 26%
•         Kids 9-14 delivery (758,000) increased by 139%, and ratings (3.2) by 146%
•         Boys 6-11 delivery (661,000) increased by 54%, and ratings (5.3) by 56%
•         Boys 2-11 delivery (820,000) increased by 23%, and ratings (3.9) by 15%
•         Boy 9-14 delivery (570,000) increased by 131%, and ratings (4.6) by 130%
•         Total Viewers 2+ delivery (2,085,000) increased by 29%

Level Up (www.CartoonNetwork.com/LevelUp) is created by executive producers Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (both credited for Chasing Liberty). Peter Murrieta (Wizards of Waverly Place, Hope and Faith) serves as the executive producer and show-runner for the series.
