Lee Returns For Interim Role At LPTV Broadcasters Association

In July 2022, Michael Lee exited as the first Executive Director of the LPTV Broadcasters Association, founded by “SuperFrank” Copsidas. Now, Lee is returning to the advocacy group on an interim basis.

Lee has assumed the role of Acting Executive Director and will retain those duties through the 2023 NAB Show and until mid-May, when he will return to France where he resides.

Lee is the LPTV Broadcasters Association’s first Executive Director, and in that role shared with RBR+TVBR in an InFOCUS Podcast many of the key legislative priorities for the organization.

However, he departed to return to Europe from the U.S., and this led the LPTV Broadcasters Association to place Peter Saad in the role on a temporary basis. In late December 2022, Charlie Juergens had been tapped as Executive Director. Juergens has departed the association.

What’s next for the LPTV Broadcasters Association? Copsidas tells RBR+TVBR that several staffing options are being considered and that the association is looking for someone with broadcast experience, but more importantly an individual with membership and technology knowledge.
