MIAMI — The Latin Grammy Awards returned to South Florida on November 15 to celebrate the 25th edition of the greatest night of Latin Music. Artists, musicians, and producers gathered at the Kaseya Center to award the most successful hits of the year. Shure Axient Digital Wireless System was selected to ensure audio that producers could count on throughout the night.
Axient Digital delivered “solid RF and consistent signal quality” throughout the event, Shure says.
“On an evening where nothing can go wrong, engineers and artists relied on 24 channels of Shure PSM® 1000 In Ear Monitoring System and 12 channels of the Axient Digital Wireless System,” the company adds. “The production also included 18 ADX2 handheld wireless microphone transmitters, four AD2 handheld microphone transmitters and two ADX1 bodypack transmitters.”
Ela Taubert, winner of Mejor Artista Revelación, performed with both Shure SM58® capsule and ADX2 handheld transmitters. A Shure BETA®58 handheld wireless microphone was also in use.
Latin music superstar Luis Fonsi, awarded with Mejor Álbum Pop Vocal for his album “El Viaje,” sang a mix of his most famous songs using a Shure KSM9 microphone capsule.
Sixteen channels of Shure’s new digital in-ear wireless monitor system were deployed.
