Larry Morton is still recalled for his efforts at the former Equity Communications, which several years ago fell into bankruptcy and saw its television holdings dispersed to numerous buyers. Now, Morton is parting ways with a low-powered TV station in Arkansas through his KTV Media enterprise.
In an asset sale agreement signed February 20 and submitted for FCC regulatory approval on Tuesday (2/28), KTV Media is agreeing to sell KUFS-LD in Fort Smith, Ark., to religious broadcaster Daystar Television Network.
The deal is valued at $95,000, payable in full at closing.
There is no broker or finder associated with the transaction, which sees Daystar assume the KUFS tower lease with American Tower Corp.
KUFS uses PSIP Channel 54 and has a digital channel of 19.
