She’s a 17-year company veteran who rose to SVP of Human Relations at the end of 2007 and at the end of 2020 had been bumped up from Chief Financial Officer to a post that would see her lead the newly combined businesses of ION Media, the five Katz networks and Newsy, which was rebranded as Scripps News at the start of 2023.
Now, Lisa Knutson is shedding her role as President of Scripps Networks to take on the newly created position of Chief Operations Officer for The E.W. Scripps Co.
