KMEX-TV LA claims #1 in nation title from March sweep

UnivisionUnivision Communications announced that O&O KMEX-TV Los Angeles wrapped up the March sweep as the #1 station in the country, regardless of language.  This includes top rankings versus its English and Spanish-language competition in primetime and total day, as well as in both early and late local newscasts, among the key age demographics of Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.


Additionally, the company proudly announced, Univision Television Group finished March with more top 10 Late Newscasts than any other station group in the largest 10 DMAs.  This includes WXTV-TV New York, which ranked as the #2 among Adult 18-34 viewers, just behind KMEX, in Local early and late local newscasts and total day viewing. KXLN-TV Houston boasted the #3 late local newscast among Adults 18-34, and the #4 ranked newscast in early news. KUVN-TV  Dallas-Fort Worth, scored with the #5 late local newscast among Adults 18-34 and #6 among Adults 18-49.

KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles led all other stations in the country as the #1 most watched Early Local Newscasts among Adults 18-49, regardless of language.

Among all Early Local Newscasts in the top 10 markets, Univision stations had three of the top ten most watched newscasts in the country among Adults 18-49 (KMEX-Los Angeles #1, WXTV-New York #3, KXLN-Houston #8).

Late Local News

KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles led all other stations in the country as the #1 most watched Late Local Newscasts among Adults 18-49, regardless of language.

Among all Late Local Newscasts in the top 10 markets, Univision stations had four of the top ten most watched newscasts in the country among Adults 18-49 (KMEX-Los Angeles #1, WXTV-New York #3, KUVN-Dallas #6, KXLN-Houston #8).

Primetime

KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles led all other stations in the country as the #1 station in Primetime among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, regardless of language.

In the top 10 markets, Univision stations have three of the top ten most watched stations in Total Day viewing among Adults 18-34 (KMEX-Los Angeles #1, WXTV-New York #2, KXLN-Houston #8).
