HAIKU, MAUI, HAWAII — It’s a company that exists “to reach out to the lost across the globe and to provide you and your family with an alternative to viewing secular television programs.”

Until today, it has also been the owner of broadcast towers in the 50th State. That’s about to change, thanks to a deal brokered by Tucson-based Kalil & Co.

Family Broadcasting Corp., which dates to 1957 and began under Dr. Lester Sumrall with a single FM radio station in South Bend, Ind., has decided to sell its Hawaii tower assets to Everest Infrastructure Partners Inc.

Details were not disclosed by Kalil & Co., including the value of the transaction.

However, it is likely centered around Family’s KWHE-14 in Honolulu, which has served the Hawaiian Islands since 1986. The station uses a broadcast facility in downtown Honolulu, where Pail Highway ends; the KWHE signal reaches all but the northern tip of O’ahu.

Everest is a major owner/marketer of communications tower sites, and has a portfolio of some 2,500 facilities in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Portugal.
