He joined Orban Labs in 2022 as an Applications Developer and progressed to the role of Project Manager in 2024. Now this software development, IT systems, and custom embedded designs expert has risen to VP of Product Development at the Philadelphia-area broadcast technology company.
Earning the promotion is Josafat Guerrero Jordan, who President David Day calls “invaluable” to Orban over the past few years.
“He’s expertly managed the groundbreaking SuperHiFi HLS decoder with its metadata recovery implementation,” Day said.
Jordan also was responsible for the Nielsen, Ipsos and Kantar watermarking implementation for the 5950, 5750 & Trio product lines. Over the years he’s had hands-on experience with multiple customers, where his on-site support and troubleshooting have directly led to product improvements.
Jordan recently started to shift Orban’s project management approach to a modernized software development-focused methodology, Day added.
