A rise in weekly first-time unemployment claims unnerved stock traders on Thursday, with the government’s monthly jobs report due out Friday morning. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down five points, or 0.05%, to 10,645. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite posted slightly larger drops. Broadcasting stocks were mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was down 2.254, or 0.8%, to 295.747.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.240, or 0.1%, to 202.628.
