End Of The Road For A New Radio Station Owner

0

Sixty-four months ago, a new entrant to radio ownership emerged thanks to a transaction that saw a buyer agree to pay $2.815 million for four FM radio stations in North Carolina and a pair of FMs in Muscatine, Iowa. With experience in sales at WABC-AM in New York, and at both Cox Radio and CBS Radio, running the properties came with a stated goal “to unite local on-air personalities, local salespeople and local advertisers together in an effort to deliver a first-rate experience for our local listeners.”

Sadly, that goal was not fulfilled. Now, the stations are to be auctioned off as part of a Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation.
