With broadcast, post production, recording studios and live sound rapidly transitioning to IP Audio, the need for monitoring and diagnostic solutions have increased accordingly in recent years.
Nixer Pro Audio, a U.K.-based company specializing in AoIP, will show off its wares at the upcoming IBC 2022 conference in Amsterdam.
The company’s products are deployed in a wide variety of applications, including Broadcast, Install and Live where broadcasters and other audio professionals rely on them on a daily basis.

“I am really excited to be back at IBC and look forward to meet our customers face to face again,” says Nick Fletcher (pictured, top left), Nixer’s CEO. “Even though we would obviously have preferred to avoid a global pandemic, we did manage to put the time to good use and update existing products, as well as develop new ones. I hope to see a lot of familiar as well as new faces in Amsterdam during IBC 2022.”
At the show, Nixer will display its PD Dante and RD Dante units with a new v3 firmware update. PD Dante is a compact and portable device that helps engineers install, manage and troubleshoot Dante AoIP devices and networks. It also allows for creating and managing Dante subscriptions on the network and can also function as a handheld 64-channel Dante audio monitoring unit. RD Dante is a 2RU rack-mountable device with built in speakers, making it ideal for Engineering Quality Assurance.
The company’s new RL256 is also available for demo. The RL Series can be customized from 64 to 256 channels. With four Ethernet sections, RL256 can cater for any mix of four Dante and/or Ravenna 64-channel connections. Applications range from confidence monitoring in broadcast, as well rapid source selection during demanding live events and transmissions.
Lastly, the RS32 change-over switch for Dante networks and the PLR64K Dante network monitor and remote controller can be experienced first-hand at IBC 2022 (Stand F93 in Hall 8).
RS32 offers simple and intuitive operation, providing 32 individual 2 by 1 switches in a compact 1RU frame. PLR64K is designed for monitoring, reporting and translation positions within fixed AV installations, including parliamentary buildings and major sporting venues.
