Two Hubbard Broadcasting FM radio stations serving Chicago now have a new VP of Brand and Content, an individual that will oversee programming for the properties. He is inbound from Cox Media Group, where he was a Sr. VP of Audience and Programming, directing the company’s on-air and digital content strategy.

Joining Hubbard/Chicago Market President Keith Lawless to direct the programming of WTMX “101.9 The Mix” and WTBC “Throwback 100.3” in Chicago is Chris Eagan. He takes on his new role on January 1, 2025.

The move is prompted by a decision made by Vice President of Brand and Content
Jimmy Steal to transition to an outside consultant, allowing him to work with Hubbard and with Meruelo Media-owned KPWR “Power 106” in Los Angeles.

Eagan is widely known for his past role as Operations Director for CMG’s Atlanta stations, and as Program Director of WSB-FM 98.5 and WSRV “97.1 The River” in that market.

”I couldn’t be more honored to join the Hubbard Chicago Team,” said Eagan, who has also worked in Boston, New Haven and in Providence. “I look forward to creating top-tier content in one of the greatest cities in the world. Thanks to Keith Lawless, Ginny Hubbard, Dave Bestler, and Greg Strassell for this amazing opportunity.”

Lawless commented, “I’ve had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Chris for years. I am proud to work alongside him again as he joins our Hubbard Chicago leadership team and the brilliant content teams at Throwback and The Mix. I have every confidence that through Chris’s experience, knowledge, and leadership, Hubbard Chicago will reach new levels of success. Welcome to Chicago, Chris, Amy, and Sean.”
