NEW YORK — Unscripted series producer and distributor Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG) has expanded its relationship with the Chicago-based broadcast TV station licensee owned by Norm Shapiro and led on a day-to-day basis by Neal Sabin.

The partnership will allow Weigel Broadcasting Co. to provide programming across several of its digital multicast networks in 2026.

Already, Weigel’s Start TV network has added HMPG series “Journey with Dylan Dreyer” and “Recipe Rehab with Evette Rios” to the lineup. Additionally, the company’s Heroes & Icons and Catchy Comedy networks will add HMPG shows beginning in April and July, respectively. All programs will run during weekend educational/informational (E/I) time blocks.

This expands a pre-existing agreement that sees HMPG provide programming for Dabl’s three-hour Sunday morning E/I lineup in 2026.

“The partnership with HMPG further expands our lineup of high-quality content across our networks, bringing even more educational and engaging programming to viewers,” said Sabin, Vice Chairman for Weigel Broadcasting Co.
