Here’s What Joe Uva’s Up To Now

Anyone who has been involved in Hispanic media over the last decade recognizes the name Joe Uva. Now, it is time for the rapidly growing podcast business to get familiar with Uva.


Uva on Wednesday was appointed non-executive chairman of the board of reVolver Podcasts. In this role, he will lead the company’s managers on all governance matters while helping the company with its strategy and business development.

reVolver Podcasts is a multicultural audio on-demand content creator and distributor with some 50+ programs spanning sports, music, finance, entertainment, lifestyle, health and wellness, inspiration, news, real crime, branded content and live events distributed on reVolverPodcasts.com, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and iHeartMedia.

Uva is currently president of Gull Point Advisors, a consultancy specializing in advising media and technology companies on growth strategies in the continuously evolving digital economy.

He’s perhaps best known for his roles as Chairman of Hispanic Enterprises & Content at NBCUniversal’s Telemundo, from April 2013-October 2015; and as President/CEO of Univision from April 2007-April 2011.

He also held executive leadership positions at Turner Broadcasting System, and served on the boards of directors of Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. and Omnicom Media Group.

Hobbs is the former EVP/Corporate Sales of both SBS (2013-2015) and, before that, EVP/Director of Corporate Sales for Univision. Hobbs spend nearly 28 years at Univision before jumping to SBS.
