A broadcast television advertising sales and management veteran who joined Hearst Television in 2023 as Director of National Sales has been promoted to Vice President of National Sales.
In this new role, he continues to report to Hearst Television’s VP of Sales, Gerry McGavick, and EVP/Group Head Eric Meyrowitz.
“Mike Kronenfeld has long been revered as one of the most accomplished television sales executives in the national advertising marketplace and we are fortunate to have had him advocating for Hearst Television for a substantial portion of his career,” said Hearst Television President Michael J. Hayes. “As a partner and as an employee, he has successfully delivered outstanding results throughout. His sales acumen and his extensive management experience make him an excellent fit for this important role as we develop more solutions for marketing partners in a dynamically changing competitive marketplace.”
Prior to joining Hearst Television in 2023, Kronenfeld was EVP of Katz Television, where he led the group responsible for representing Hearst Television exclusively and sat on the company’s senior leadership team.
Before that, Kronenfeld was the CEO of The CW affiliate in Cleveland, WBNX-TV. He also served as President/COO of Adam Young Inc., a broadcast industry advertising representation firm, and was on the executive management team at former TV station owner Young Broadcasting.
Kronenfeld also has agency experience, and was on the buying side at BBDO for several years. He began his broadcasting career as a research analyst at the television rep firm HRP.
