The Hearst Television-owned NBC affiliate serving the Susquehanna Valley of Pennsylvania and cities including York, Hanover, Harrisburg and Lancaster has a new Local Sales Manager. He takes over for an individual who rose to General Sales Manager at the end of 2024.

Now LSM at WGAL-8 is Kulan Brown. He’ll oversee all of WGAL 8’s local sales efforts, succeeding Ben Warntz.

“Kulan brings unmatched expertise in crafting comprehensive campaigns that combine both TV and digital platforms, and his vision and strategic thinking make him the ideal person to lead our local sales team into the future,” said Warntz. “Personally, I couldn’t be more thrilled for Kulan. He’s not only an outstanding leader but also an outstanding person.”

Brown joined WGAL in 2022 as Digital Sales Manager. In that role, he developed new revenue streams and helped grow overall station sales by integrating proprietary digital solutions with TV campaigns. He also led initiatives to position digital as a key complement to on-air advertising, increasing revenue for both WGAL and its clients.

Prior to joining WGAL, Brown was National Director of Business Development at WebID; Director of New Business Development and Live Events and Experiences for Entercom Communications in Baltimore; and Senior Marketing Account Manager at CBS Radio.

“I’m deeply honored to lead WGAL’s talented local sales team,” Brown said. “Our station’s ratings, reach, community engagement, and people are unparalleled. With the Winter Olympics, the Super Bowl, and the NBA All-Star Game all coming up in the next 12 months, I can’t wait to help our clients and community partners capitalize on these incredible opportunities to connect with viewers across the Susquehanna Valley.”
