Hasselhoff finds reality is cancellation

David Hasselhoff’s attempt at reality television lasted no longer than his dancing on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” where he was eliminated the first week. His A&E reality series also lasted just one week.

Ratings for “The Hasselhoffs” were awful on Sunday (12/5). The premiere of the half-hour series was watched by only 718,000 people. The second episode, which followed immediately afterward, drew an audience of only 505,000. The show will not be returning to A&E, even though several more episodes are already in the can.

“The Hoff” reportedly signed to do the reality series as a way to help his daughters, Taylor Ann and Hayley, pursue their own Hollywood careers. If nothing else, they’ve learned how tough show business can be.
