He’s been the interim General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing for Gray Media’s Cleveland stations, which now have a new leader poised to shift from Paducah, Ky., and Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Starting December 1, he’ll be among the Fighting Irish and the surrounding community of South Bend, Ind., and nearby Elkhart as General Manager of Gray Local Media‘s NBC affiliate in the market.
Earning the promotion is Nick Hasenecz. He’s enjoyed a nearly 12-year career in Cleveland, directing sales for WOIO-TV, WUAB-TV and “Telemundo Cleveland.”
And, he’s also been a successful soccer coach, for Far Post Soccer Club Inc.
Now, Hasenecz is taking on his biggest TV industry post yet, directing WNDU-TV for Gray.
His past experience includes roles as Local Sales Manager for WCAX-3 in Burlington, Vt.-Plattsburgh, N.Y., and as LSM for both WAVY-10 and WVBT “FOX43” in Norfolk. He rose from Research Director at the duo formerly owned by LIN Media, and began his career at Telerep.
Hasenecz is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
