From October 1994 through February 2018, she was associated with the station branded as “FOX 56,” serving Lexington, Ky. After 23 1/2 years, she exited the Sinclair Inc. operation for a role at Gray Media, heading up its Baton Rouge property.
By March 2022, Gray promoted her to a Senior Vice President role and, later, to a Senior Operating Officer position. Today, she’s rising to the position of Chief Revenue Officer at the publicly traded company.
In her new role, Ronna Steber is being asked to “drive advertising sales strategies and establish best practices throughout Gray’s extensive portfolio of top-rated local television stations and digital assets.”
Her focus will also include spearheading new business development initiatives and sales training programs to empower local sales teams, Gray said in an announcement distributed Tuesday morning by the Atlanta-headquartered company.
“Ronna has a proven record of success and a deep understanding of our local markets,” said Gray COO Sandy Breland, who will serve as the television industry co-chair of Forecast 2027 on November 12, presented by Streamline Publishing’s Radio Ink and Radio + Television Business Report. “Her strategic vision and strong leadership make her the perfect choice to guide our sales teams and turn our greatest opportunities into meaningful revenue growth.”
