Starting Sept. 11, a new weekday news magazine showcasing “groundbreaking investigations” from Gray Television featuring original content from the company’s broadcast TV stations and an acclaimed national journalism unit will become available for viewers.

Introducing InvestigateTV+, which will place a spotlight on reports from Gray’s InvestigateTV operation.

It marks an expansion from a weekend program to an additional weekday offering, with Gray making the announcement just in time for the Upfronts, which are one month away.

According to Gray, “tremendous audience reaction” to the weekend airings of InvestigateTV’s weekend show prompted the expansion.

Gray’s local stations will air both the weekday program (InvestigateTV+) and the weekend program (InvestigateTV) across all of its markets.

Non-Gray stations in markets where the company does not own a station will have the ability to add the program to its lineup.

Sandy Breland, Gray’s Senior Managing VP, commented, “Gray is the leading source of stories that make a difference in every market we serve, while InvestigateTV is known for innovative journalism that gets results. The InvestigateTV+ program will allow us to connect even more viewers to impactful storytelling from coast to coast.”

InvestigateTV+ will be hosted by Lee Zurik and Tisha Powell.

Zurik is Vice President of Investigations for InvestigateTV and works as an anchor and Chief Investigative Reporter at WVUE “FOX8” in New Orleans. Powell is an anchor at WAFB-9 in Baton Rouge.

“InvestigateTV+ will combine the strength of Gray’s network of local newsrooms with a dedicated reporting team to provide a daily resource of information that empowers viewers,” Gray added.

Managing Editor Greg Phillips will lead daily production and a dedicated editorial team. He was most recently Executive Producer of Investigations for InvestigateTV. Executive Producer Jennifer Nickels joins Phillips on the management team.
