The Market President for iHeartMedia‘s Seattle-Tacoma radio stations, an individual who rose to the post in November 2020 after seven years in ascending sales roles, has tacked on similar duties for the company’s Spokane properties by rising to Area President for Washington.

This puts Mark Glynn in control of 16 audio brands under the iHeartMedia banner, reporting to Nick Gnau, Division President for iHeartMedia.

It’s a swift change in Spokane leadership for iHeartMedia, as Devonne Etcheverry was named as Pacific Area President in September. That position included management of the company’s stations in Eastern Washington’s largest market. An iHeartMedia spokesperson tells RBR+TVBR that Etcheverry continues to serve in that regional role, but that her markets are now comprised of Fresno, Modesto, Monterey-Salinas and Riverside-San Bernardino. Etcheverry had also had oversight of Bakersfield with her recent promotion, but those duties have been handed to someone else.

Commenting on Glynn, Gnau said, “Mark is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of success in the media industry. Since the day I met him, his passion for his team and his ability to foster a collaborative and creative work environment has been effective and impressive, making him the perfect person to lead Spokane to the success he’s achieved in Seattle.”

Recognized as one of Radio Ink‘s Best Managers in Radio in 2023, Glynn served as General Sales Manager upon joining iHeartMedia/Seattle in December 2013, some eight months after exiting a similar role at the Seattle radio stations owned by Entercom (now Audacy Inc.). Earlier in his career, Glynn served as an account executive for ABC Radio and, from 2002-2006, was a sales exec for iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Radio.

“I’m honored to lead iHeartMedia Washington,” Glynn said. “In an era where audio thrives as a powerful medium, our brands in Seattle and Spokane stand at the forefront, poised to continue our legacy of success. I am grateful for the support of our dedicated sales teams and leaders in both markets.”
