WASHINGTON, D.C. — She received her Juris Doctor from picturesque yet rigorous Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in May and graduated with a Political Science degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2022. Now, this former Alpha Phi marketer and recruiter and competitive ice skater will be serving as a Law Clerk for the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
In this role, Allison Howell will provide support to the office’s legal advisors.
And, it marks a return to the Nation’s Capital for the recent law school graduate, as Howell served as an intern in both the Wireless and Wireline Bureaus and in the Office of then-Commissioner Carr prior to his appointment as FCC Chairman.
Carr commented, “I am very pleased that Allison has agreed to join us once again at the FCC … [she] brings solid experience in communications law from her previous time here at the FCC serving in multiple roles, including in my prior office as well as two bureaus. She will be an instrumental part of our team, working to support the FCC’s work and deliver great results for the American people.”
On LinkedIn, Howell commented that she is “thrilled to share” that she has joined the Office of Chairman Brendan Carr. “I look forward to supporting the Chairman’s office and contributing to the important work of advancing telecommunications law and policy. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to return to the FCC and feel fortunate to work alongside such an exceptional team!”
Howell also served as a summer law clerk for a federal judge in the Southern District of Texas and as a research assistant to a constitutional law professor.
